Unlike traditional massage, where muscles are rubbed, in Thai Yoga Massage the body is compressed, pulled, stretched and rocked. Thai Massage is typically performed on a large floor mat while both client and practitioner are dressed in comfortable clothing, allowing ease of movement and flexibility. No oils or lotions are used.

Stacey, a certified Thai Massage Practitioner, will guide you through a series of yoga postures (Laying on your back, on your stomach and/or seated), while using compression techniques of palm, thumb, elbow, knee or feet along the body’s energy lines in a meditative rocking motion. You will be given the option of passive, dynamic or strong application depending on your own personal massage preferences.

A combination of gentle rocking, deep stretching, rhythmic compression, Shiatsu, reflexology, yoga postures and breath-work all come together to create a slow, rhythmic massage. These ancient techniques can be used to increase mobility, enhance recovery and performance, increase circulation, boost the immune system, promote body awareness and will enhance breathing patterns which will encourage relaxation.
